MODULE 3
The CALM method
Welcome to Module 3 - the calm method
Now that you’ve decoded your stress patterns, it’s time to learn a practical way of meeting them differently. In this module, you’ll be introduced to the Calm Method and explore simple but powerful practices — from quick breathers to deeper restorers — that help you shift from stressed to steady.
LESSON 1 - CALM in practice
This lesson introduced the steps of the Calm Method — check in, appraise, link to what matters, and move kindly. These steps give you a framework for responding with awareness instead of reacting on autopilot.
LESSON 2 - Breathers
In this session, we explored breathers and the STOP method. These quick reset practices create space to pause, steady yourself, and continue with more clarity - to ease the emotional intensity.
LESSON 3 - Sustainers
In this lesson you’ve explored the role of sustainers - the nourishing habits and lifestyle practices and habits that support your energy and maintain your capacity day to day. With them, you create the foundation for lasting calm.
LESSON 4 - Restorers
Restorers take you deeper and build your capacity. They are filling the cup from within. You’ve learnt how restorers replenish you more deeply, helping to repair and renew after stress. Making space for restorers is key to long-term well-being and balance.
Congratulations on completing Cultivating Calm!
You’ve lived real self-care and taken time to understand your stress patterns, explore practical strategies, and practise real self-care. Remember, calm doesn’t mean stress disappears - it means you now have tools to notice what’s happening, pause, and respond in ways that support you.
Take things step by step. Revisit the lessons, guidebook, and practices whenever you need a refresher. Small, consistent actions will help you keep building confidence and calm in your everyday life.
Thank you for being part of this course, I hope you continue to feel the benefits well beyond these lessons.
