Cultivating Calm
Rediscover Your Inner Ease
A self-paced path to clarity, presence, and real self-care

Sounds good, but ...
If a part of you is thinking, “I can’t add one more thing,” I hear you.
Work, family, health, and the visible and invisible load can make even good changes feel out of reach - it's just another thing on the list.
That’s why I built Cultivating Calm the way I have; self-paced, small steps, and zero perfectionism. There are techniques that take 60 seconds, and they're a great place to start, building up to strategies that might take a bit more time, but which nurture and nourish long-term.
You might also be thinking ...
The overwhelm is real
The solution? A clear “start here,” short videos, you set your own pace, gentle check-ins, and options but guidance to choose just 1 thing to explore each lesson and a guidebook to help keep you anchored.
Prioritising me is selfish
The invitation? Welcome to a world where you don't have to earn self-care, where you don’t need to justify self-care. Self-care is a right, not a reward, and not selfish. Here's a gentle mantra for you: “I’m allowed to look after me.”
It won't work, I've tried
Sceptical? Calm is cultivated, not forced. We’re not chasing bliss on day one—just easing the load of stress. Try a few tools, keep what resonates, and aim for better, not perfect, with small consistent steps. The videos and guidebook offer simple, research-backed strategies.

SHARING THE COURSE I BUILT FOR MYSELF
Hi, I'm Jane
If you landed on this page and are still reading, it’s probably because you can't remember not feeling stressed, wired and tired, and over it.
I get it. I'm a multi-tasker who has periodically flirted with burn-out (sometimes taking it to third base). I’ve learned I need to consciously and fairly consistently, check my plate to make sure I'm not over-committing or over-engineering my life, and lean on the same strategies I share in this course to keep myself well. That’s why I created this space: to help women feel clearer and calmer without adding more to the overwhelm.
This work is close to my heart, and I’m honoured to share it with you.
Women’s health clinician-researcher with 35+ years’ experience - I’ve facilitated multi-day resilience retreats for cancer and palliative care professionals, and run day workshops for community groups and clients. I help women build calm, capacity, and confidence with realistic, evidence-informed strategies grounded in self-compassion - no guilt, no gimmicks.
